1 cup Plantation Breader
1 cup All Purpose Flour
1 Tbs. baking powder
½ cup shortening (Crisco is preferred)
¾ cup skim milk
Preheat oven to 400⁰F.
In a large bowl blend Plantation Breader, flour and baking powder. Cut shortening into flour mix with pastry blender until mixture is consistency of peas. Add milk and mix until just well blended. Turn out on lightly floured surface. Roll to ½ to ¾-inch thickness. Cut with lightly floured biscuit cutter and place on biscuit pan or cookie sheet.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly golden. Serve hot with butter.
